Live Edge Bookcase with Pipe Supports

Everything on this page is made from trees cut down on my property. The trees
were over 80 years old. They needed to be cut down to move an existing power
line. I did not have the heart to let the trees end up in a firewood pile or
rot.

I milled the wood and dried it myself.

The trees lived a long time and hopefully live a long second life as a piece
of furniture. Just like life these pieces are not prefect. The imperfections
and cracks give the furniture character. I am always in awe after each layer of
wood I take off to find an absolutely beautiful and odd grain pattern made from
the minerals and nutrients the tree lived off of. Each piece is one of a kind
and keep the artist in me versus production type of furniture.
