These pair of industrial shelf brackets are based on a design from one of our
bestselling Original range. They are made by us, a small family run business
set near the idyllic Sherwood Forest area. In a village straddling the River
Trent that can boast a blacksmithing tradition going back centuries. In this
way, besides quality across all our product range, we give unmatched
reliability and sincerity. That us, for a more detailed description of these
industrial brackets, please see below:
These copper and brass shelf brackets are approximately 13.5 cm in height and
length and perfectly suited for shelves up to 26 cm in width. They a strong and
robust, and can be used to support scaffolding plank shelving of a reasonable
length.
Each industrial shelf bracket has two round cast iron flange mounts, each with
a diameter of Ca. 7 cm. The width of the screw you use should ideally be 5 mm;
the screw length will depend on the wall type the industrial shelf brackets are
going to be fixed to. Personally, and this isn't a recommendation as wall
brick/plaster compositions vary, I like to use 5 x 40 mm multi-purpose screw
along with a 3.5-5 mm (red) raw plug; whose hole has been made by a 6 mm
missionary drill bit.
Decorative hexagonal brass compressions bolt the copper piping to the cast
iron flanges. They shall arrive ready mounted and bolted tightly with the three
holes configured in such a way that the industrial shelf brackets can easily be
fitted. Likewise, the heavy duty 90-degree brass compression elbow will also be
tightly bolted up so there’s no assembly required from your end.
Overall they’re tough, ridged and feel heavy in the hand.
The last image in the photos above depict three other design options in this
range. They are numbered in our ads (from top to bottom:#1 to #4; for this ad
it is the lower most bracket. (wooden shelf and screws in the images above are
for demonstration purposes.)
